WKU graduate Althaus featured in ‘Orange is the New Black’

Emily Althaus, a 2009 WKU graduate from Louisville, is featured in the role of Maureen Kukudio in the new season of Orange is the New Black.

TV binge watchers were waiting with anticipation last weekend for the premiere of the third season of the Netflix original series. Orange is the New Black, based on the memoir of Piper Kerman’s year in prison, has been popular with audiences since its premiere in July 2013.

No spoilers here, but Althaus has a storyline closely intertwined with one of the main characters.

Althaus was featured in the fall 2012 issue of Potter College Arts & Letters Magazine after making her Broadway debut in the 2012 revival of Harvey, starring Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory.
